Magic Window

This video doesn’t do the effect justice – and it may take you a second or two to actually figure out what’s so remarkable about this footage. But what you’re seeing represents the fruit of some very complicated programming. I won’t bore you with the details of how it works, but the illusion that you’re “looking through a window” is extremely convincing – especially in stereoscopic 3d!

  1. Chris, you’re truly the right person for this endeavor. Your commitment, savvy, and passion for it are continual proof of this. Also… is that a starfield in the background of the room? :)

  2. Now THAT’s cool. I thought it was pretty neat right away, but when you looked around the corner toward the entrance doors and I could see the light on the wall…WHOA! Radical, dude.

  3. Glad you guys like it! And no, that’s not a star field in the background – just dust motes catching in the projection beam.

My star field is on the ceiling of the conference room at The SuperGroup :-)
