Caramba!
Fou um fã, bem dizer, oculto do HORIZONS, sou praticamente fanático.
Obrigado de coração.

Hi Folks,
This is an intriguing idea. I never saw Horizons in person, so I thought I’d try your sim. I can get inside the building, to the Futureport screen and to what looks like a loading area. I can also travel through different doors into place I probably shouldn’t be. How do I proceed from the Futureport screen?
Thanks
How do you get in the building? This has me extremely curious because I never saw Horizons in person.
Excellent work I get goosebumps just standing in the forum listening to the soundtrack keep up the good work I’ll spread the word on your site, can’t wait for more, cant get past the que so i imagine you haven’t gotten any further but keep it up
I believe you guys walk to the left. You should see the omnimover vehicles and can board them!
I can’t get in the vehicle. I ride along for a bit and then I fall off just as the ride starts and I get stuck under the vehicles. How do you stay in the ride car?
Simply wow!!!! The work and effort that you have done to this point is amazing….Now when you finish you need a way to add the oh so famous orange smell to it….or simply have a sniff orange here part…..great work…please make it you mission to complete this for those that haven’t seen it and those that miss it so much
That truly is something remarkable. Even after the scenes had long gone I found myself not needing a visual. The atmosphere, the sounds, were enough to bring the sights back to mind. You shouldn’t stop with Horizons. Make the park but 1990′s style. I would pay good money to walk through my old memories. Horizons truly was one of those emersions that brought you to the future and expanded how you felt about the world and your roll in it! Great work! Can’t wait to see the finished product!
I loved horizons as a kid and wept when they closed the ride. I’m glad to see you’re resurrecting the ride online. So far it looks good! You’re work is supurb! My only complaint (and this has nothing to do with your work!) is that the mouse control sucks outright with the Unity player in Chrome. Does this work well for anyone else in another web browser?
Where did you get the source material for this? Any way you could share with us either here or on horizons1.com? Everything Horizons should be preserved!
This is awesome!! I found a way to fall out of the building though
Where did you get the source material for this? I’d love to see if we could get “World of Motion”, and the origional “Journey Into Imagination”. These three rides embodies Epcot, and it would be awesome if we could recreate all of them together!
Would someone please share the name of the song that’s playing outside the Horizons building? That’s the music I think of when I think of Epcot. TIA.
Simulation 14 -
First, I’d like to thank you for all the effort that you have put into this simulation so far. I deeply appreciate all this effort as Horizons was one of my favorite attractions at EPCOT Center. I certainly hope that you continue your efforts to complete this project.
I understand that this simulation is far from complete. However, one consideration you should make is to at least put screenshots of the actual scenery of where the 3D models will eventually be so that people unaccustomed to the ride know what to expect in the future. Looking at darkness for 80% of the ride is not appealing to a lot of people.
Also, while I played the simulation, it began to skip a little after the “selection” was made. Because of the darkness, I couldn’t tell what was going on except that I was experiencing a 2-3 second loop over and over again.
Besides these two concerns, I sincerely hope that you continue on with your efforts to complete this project. I look forward each day towards checking your progress and it’s a great treat whenever a new simulation premieres. Thank you.
You make a good point Steve, although I largely think the people visiting this website are people old enough to remember Horizons that have some sort of nostalgia for it and are plenty familiar with the layout anyways.
Do you plan to export using the Unity Native Client support in future versions? Sadly I run linux and short of the Chrome Native Client support, Unity doesn’t provide a Linux plugin.
I visited Epcot Center long time ago in 1997. At the time i was 12 years old, and this park was so amazing and surprising for me. But there was a ride in particular wich i became truly inlove. That was Horizons!! And now many years after i claim ¡I was right there, i rode it! and just before 2 years exactly from closing, and it’s such an incredible fact because i mean, i’m not even american, i live in spain, we made a long trip with my family to visit Orlando and all the theme parks that where open at the time, it was so great, but riding Horizons in particular was truly best thing on planet, i remember those bic screens that shown a giantic space station, mesa verde with that nice smells and waterfalls and the city under the sea, with an strange effect aplied to simulate ocean underwater. I think i will ride this resurrected Horizons simulation all the time way back home! it’s fantastic keep work on!
Thanks a ton for the direct client download.
You did an absolutely amazing job!! You weren’t kidding when you talked about surprises! Not gonna lie — I teared up a little. Lol! It’s a wonder why Disney hasn’t already done something like this, archiving old rides virtually. Then again, I’m not sure it would have been as lovingly crafted as your work.
The only thing I’d change is to regain the ability to freely walk around. One of the things I enjoyed in the previous simulations was just standing outside, staring in awe at the pavilion. The fly-through IS cool, though. I can’t believe how accurate those ride vehicles are!
Some truly amazing work. And it doesn’t go unappreciated, I can grantee that.
For YEARS and YEARS I have tried to retain every detail and memory I could about this fantastic attraction that I only got to ride ONCE in my entire LIFE, on my first trip to WDW ever, just weeks before it closed forever. (I’ve returned dozens of times but alas Horizons is gone.) I cannot express to you how wonderful this find is for me personally. It literally brings tears to my eyes. Thank you and I will be donating on the way out!
Man I would love to see #15… It won’t even load for me, and if it did, I’m sure the delay would be horrendous.
I can still enjoy #10 thank God, thanks for leaving older versions up woot.
Is any the newest simulation working???
